Despite many positives in the Midleton game last weekend, we struggled to hold on and ultimately the visitors went away with the win albeit with a close score of 24-27. South East Lions and J1s played in horrendous windy conditions on Sunday. Unfortunately Edenderry proved too strong on the day for the Lions, the second half rally wasn't quite enough to get them the win. A very positive start to the season for the J1s with a 36-22 win over Tullamore, it was great to see them back in action. Senior men are in Bruff tomorrow still chasing that elusive first win of the season. A much quieter weekend for Youths action. Best of luck to all players, coaches and managers.

Ivan and the Minis coaches would like to welcome parents to take part in the Players and Parents training session on Sunday. Make sure to dress comfortably and wear your runners. Best of luck to the U12 boys in their half-time game in the Aviva for the Leinster v Lions game. What an exciting prospect, enjoy!

Another call for membership, please do use the website or ClubZap. Do let us know if you are running into any problems.

I'll wish you all a relaxing long weekend.
