After a long trip and an early lead against Ballyclare last weekend, we came away with a disappointing 41-10 defeat. This weekend we take on Tullamore in Spollanstown, again looking for that first win of the season. It looks like we'll avoid the bad weather that was initially forecast, and hopefully the result will be a positive one too. Following a postponement last weekend the South East Lions kick their season off with an away fixture against Longford RFC. That game kicks off on Sunday at 1pm at CPL Park. 

We have plenty of Youths action in store this weekend kicking off with the Colts away against Tullow tonight at 7.30 and the Boys U13s against Kilkenny at the same time at Alcast Park.  Minis are in Blitz action this weekend home and away to Kilkenny. Safe journey to the Boys U11s who are travelling to Treviso for the Leinster game.

A note of congratulations to both the Junior and Senior teams for Enniscorthy CBS who beat Wexford CBS in Alcast Park this week. Well done to the teams and teachers.

How great was it to wake up Monday to see that the Ireland Women's team had beaten the Black Ferns in Vancouver. And to top it off two tries from Aoife Wafter and Player of the match. Congratulations Aoife we are all so proud of you and the best of luck in the upcoming tie with Canada. Well done and best of luck to Tricia Doyle who has been selected to play in Ireland's Rugby League World Cup qualifying team in Greece next Saturday. Finally congrats and best of luck to Temi who has been named in the squad for Connaught's tie against Scarlets this weekend.
